Dumbest bug by far

Most bugs I have been able to get around but after this past update I cant even play sims :(

I place a household and it doesn't play. Doesn't give me the error message either, so even if I didn't already experiment with the mods and repair the game, it wouldn't have anything to do with them anyway. 

repairing doesn't fix it. Removing mods doesn't fix it. Starting a new game doesn't fix it. It is just broken. 
EA, before u do an update maybe remember ppl still like to play the actual games.
