I cannot even open the Sims 4 without crashing
As the title says... I've tried very thing I could think of, updated my drivers, deleted en redownloaded the sims, veified the game files, download windows visual C++, went through my pc files to delete every file with the Sims 4 manually. Nothing seems to work, this is my last resort.
I play on a gaming laptop, here are it's specs:
Dewan2005 It looks like you have a Victus laptop, and this issue is common on newer models with Intel processors. There are a few known workarounds:
- HELP! The Sims 4 crashes during launch or in the main menu | EA Forums - 12048779
- Game won’t launch | EA Forums - 4992631
- Managed to fix my problem where it crashes during launch after update | EA Forums - 4998584
- Disable the Intel iGPU
- Put the laptop in night mode
None of these works for everyone, but something almost always does, so keep trying the workarounds until you find one that lets you play.If these don't help, or I'm wrong and you have a different laptop, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
