EA App Error Message

Hello! I am having trouble trying to solve for error 0xc000012f. It pops up three times for EA Desktop Program Files for MSVCP140 VCRUNTIME1401, and VCRUNTIME140 dll files. I think its indicating the Microsoft C++ installation and Runtime are the main issues, but uninstalling and reinstalling didn't fix the issue.

The steps I've taken so far to resolve:

Tried to delete the EA app to reinstall (can't uninstall)
Cleared computer cache and ran a clean bot  before restarting before reattempting to uninstall EA App
Ran sfc scannow as a command prompt administrator. It said Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations, and running DISM noted no corruption detected
Microsoft Visual C++ & Microsoft Runtime. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Verified I have a x64 bit computer and installed both x64 and x86, version 2015-2022 installed.

Any advice on what else I could try?

  • ChaosMonk_Sims  Try uninstalling the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), using the Intensive scanning method.  Restart your computer before reinstalling, and run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."  Open the App itself as an admin too.
