EA app PC : Problem downloading Sims 4

Hello.

Earlier today, I decided to do a deep clean op of my Sims 4 game, I completely uninstalled it rather than spending a long time removing my mods and CC, so that I would be sure they would be properly removed. The problem arrived when I tried to install it again. It did not work. I tried clearing cache, uninstall/install the EA app and nothing works. Here is the message I get every single time. It is rather annoying. I tried downloading the base game by itself as well as with the DLCs and same result every time.

  • Having the same issue. I had sims 4 on a different computer and tried re in stalling it on this new one. I click download on the EA app and it asks me to route the file path and agree to terms and then..nothing.. happens? no pop up no nothing just doesnt download doesnt even try. Very confused also tried doing all of the suggested solutions none of them worked. In fact when I tried to uninstall EA it told me I couldnt uninstall while the app is running? even though it wasnt idek maybe that is me doing something wrong. But either way very frusterating considering this is such an odd issue.

@rachelr1118  Restart your computer, then try again to uninstall the EA App, this time using Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine).  Restart again and reinstall the App.  Create a new folder into which you'll install Sims 4.  The folder can be called whatever you want, and it should be on the root level of the drive of your choice, for example C:\Games is fine, but not C:\Program Files\Games.

If this doesn't help, let me know what happens whn you try: whether you still see nothing, or you get an error message this time and what it says.
