Just migrated to the EA app upon being forced to. The Sims 2 is entirely missing from the app. I had a copy of the Ultimate Collection and it is not there. It will not let me play from my desktop shortcut, either.
Did you do a complete reboot of your computer after installing it? - Jayel-12 years agoSeasoned Ace

It's working fine for me. The only thing is I need to get over the apprehension I feel every time I start the game. ?
Yes, it worked for me too, and I find myself now opening the app on a daily basis even if I'm not going to play, just to make sure it's still working as it should be, and that's been since early December!
I guess the apprehension/anxiety will fade away eventually :D - lousha_love2 years agoNew ScoutAt the end of the live stream the gurus stated that pc players can purchase Growing Together on EA app and mac user can purchase from Origin. I am a pc player and still play my Sims 4 through Origin. I don't want to ever switch over to the EA app, even though I know at some point in time I will be forced to switch. I'm just wondering, has that time come with Growing Together? I truly hope not. If so this would definitely delay my purchase of the pack. I also hope I am positing this in the correct category.
https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxenGvHfD_qrmxWcvrpx8wC5-4SZaWXmus - Yeah they started rolling out the update for certain accounts around the end of last year. I had to update earlier this week. There’s no way around it, you can’t play sims 4 once it’s your turn to update. Unless you play with Internet off, but I didn’t try it

Well... my heart is officially broken :'( But that pack I must have, so update I will. Maybe i'll try switching before the pack drop. I tried back in November and it didn't go well at all. None of my Sims 4 base game and packs transferred over. And they gave me the free standard Sims 4 pack. I only mention the fact that its standard Sims 4 because I purchased what they called Sims 4 premium edition when the sims 4 released. I'm not complaining, I am just simply saying, when that happened, it caused me some severe anxiety to think of what I would have to go through with EA just to get everything properly transferred, I still haven't been able to transfer my Sims 3 from an Origin account I signed up to back when and totally forgot about it. However, I still had the Origin app on an external drive and was able to re-install it and all my packs. Thank you very much for your response. Happy Simming :) - GracieFace3122 years agoSeasoned AceDoes anyone know how to get your packs back without re-buying them? I’m hearing all sorts of horror stories about this switch and it’s scary to think about losing all my hard work and money. It’s why I’m not switching yet. I had no idea this was a forced change!

They were automatically moved over to EA App for me, just downloaded it and my saves, pack, and hours played were passed over. I haven’t heard anyone rebuying them but they have Answers HQ to report bugs such as those.- GracieFace3122 years agoSeasoned AceYeah I’ve just read Answers HQ and it sounds like a glitch that they’ve managed to solve. That’s made me feel a bit better.
Panic (sort of) over! - lousha_love2 years agoNew ScoutI'm hoping they just push me over to the EA app now that I think about it. Because that fear of losing everything is very real. On youtube, I wish I could remember which content creator, but yeah, I heard horror stories. when I had my issue, I could not even find where to download the Origin app just to get my stuff back. But I have heard that when EA/Maxis, whoever, push you over to the EA app, that people did not experience any issues.
- GracieFace3122 years agoSeasoned AceYeah I’m not gonna do anything until they make me!
