Yeah I’ve just read Answers HQ and it sounds like a glitch that they’ve managed to solve. That’s made me feel a bit better.
Panic (sort of) over!
I'm happy for you. I will be in full panic mode until my base game and all my packs are transferred and I am playing with ease :D - BooDaBoo52 years agoRising HotshotYep, I was forced over about a week ago and to say I was angry and panicked is an understatement :D Everything is working as it should though if that makes you feel any better! I just don't understand the forced change since it's still in beta.

Please may I ask how you fixed it? Just for reference so I know what to do in the future. - Monet112 years agoSeasoned AceYes. I was forced to switch just now and am missing stuff packs and kits from Sims 4 and store worlds from Sims 3. I got an error message telling me that there was a problem with my account, but it never told me what it was or directed me to any place for further information or how to fix it. They remove any conversations here on the forum about problems, even if the information is helpful, saying go to Answer HQ, I have gone to Answers HQ and cannot find any information to help me.
I have no idea what I am supposed to do to get my missing packs and kits. It had me delete Origin, so I have no record of the stuff I had in Origin. It is beyond frustrating.
Editing to add: My library does not show all of the packs and kits I own and it duplicates one of the packs. However, if I just do a search using the pack name, my missing packs say that I own them. In game, all of my packs and kits show up. So it appears that it is just a library issue and not really a missing content issue. - lousha_love2 years agoNew Scout

In this force to switch, I wish everyone Good Luck. If I run across a way to fix any issues as a result to being forced from Origin to the EA App, I will post it here...
Happy Simming Everyone <3 - JustMeAlb2 years agoSeasoned AceWas forced over to the EA App a week or so ago. Occasionally get the "problem with your account" message, sometimes my game just will not come up until I give my computer a restart, otherwise Sims 4 seems to be working OK for now (fingers crossed). If there was a way to switch back to Origin I would.
- lousha_love2 years agoNew ScoutI do believe this push from Origin to the EA App, has everything to do with the next iteration of the Sims franchise, and nothing at all to do with Sims 4. I believe they are testing our tolerance for subscriptions and other micro transaction in the next iteration of the sims through the Sims 4. I believe, that they are making sure that no matter how we feel, that, if what ever else comes from the Sims 4, they turn a beautiful profit, is a good sign to them that the next iteration of Sims will profit well too. This is why switching from Origin to the EA app is so messy right now, because it is not about the Sims 4.

Just an add on to the above. I'm switching and dealing with it. This feeds their ego of course. But, truth of the matter is, when I purchase the base game, I look at it as an investment. So, for the Sims 4, if they keep dropping packs I want, I will buy. However, when it comes down to the next iteration of Sims, EA may not be so lucky to get my money. But time will tell.... - bandit342 years agoSeasoned Aceif they make sims 5 empty without any of some of the sims 4 dlc like seasons i will wait a bit till that in game.

I had no option but to install EA App. All of my packs were there and I have had no issues, so far at least! :)
