EA play won't launch game
I am using EA Desktop on an HP Windows 10 laptop, and this is the first time that it won't launch my game. I opened the app and logged in like I usually do and when I went to launch my game (Sims 4),...
@idontbelala As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
If this doesn't help, let me know, and I'll merge your post with the master thread for Sims 4 not launching in the EA App:
In that case, please try repairing the game: open My Collection, hover over the Sims 4 icon, click the three dots, and select Repair. If that doesn't help, please create an EA App error report, as described here:
https://help.ea.com/za/help/ea/ea-app/run-ea-error-report/
Post the error report ID in your reply.
@idontbelala Please create the error report, as requested, and post the report ID in this thread. I can then merge your posts with the master thread for people who can't play through the EA App. (I wanted to make sure you didn't have a different, fixable issue instead before just moving your posts to that other thread.)
If you can still run Origin, you can use that for now. This post has a download link:
@idontbelala Just to make sure this isn't a separate issue, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

For most people with this issue, Sims 4 runs fine in Origin but not in the EA App, so you might have something else going on.
