Eco Lifestyle not downloading

@taylorrachael3  So then the pack is in fact already installed.  You don't see it in your game?  If your computer runs the Legacy Edition of Sims 4, it won't load the pack—the LE doesn't run any of the new packs.

If this isn't your issue, please try repairing the game in Origin, if you haven't already.  Open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.  Then launch the game and see whether the pack loads.

@taylorrachael3  Yes, you can and probably should request a refund from EA customer support.  Due to the current situation, support is on limited hours right now, with phone calls entirely unavailable, and live chat only open from 9 am to midnight GMT, Monday through Saturday.  And because support is swamped right now, it might take some time to get through.

The Legacy Edition won't run any packs starting with Discover University, and that includes new packs released in the future.  You can still use any packs older than DU though.

Hi guys my daughter just bought Eco Lifestyle and it appears in the Origin menu under expansion packs but it doesn't load into the game. I see that someone said that Legacy Edition doesn't load any of the new expansion packs. She has cats and dogs island living and seasons and they are all fine. I believe she is getting get famous and Get to work for Christmas. Does that mean that these won't work either?PS I tried the repair game thing but it didn't do anything, still won't load.

@jadaannj  Get Famous and Get to Work both run in the Legacy Edition.  The only packs that don't work in the LE are the ones released after October 2019, which includes Eco Lifestyle.

If you're not sure whether your daughter's computer can support the standard version of Sims 4, feel free to run a dxdiag and attach it to a post (Windows):

Hi thanks for replying and the info. Yes we had heaps of dramas and needed to do the Legacy Edition awhile back. Her account is tricky because its an underage account and the only way to do it was for EA to do some "fix" that they weren't supposed to do. Its all over my head! End result we are running on our Mac on the Legacy Edition. If these packs can't run under LE then EA should at least include that in the requirements on the box. She buys them all from EB games because she can't buy direct from EA or download mods because of the set up she has.

I will contact EB games first to try for a refund because its almost impossible to get hold of EA. Every case I start just directs me to call (offers no online chat or email address) just to call and then the phone says they are no longer available by phone so I go in circles. Their customer service sucks! Unlike yours, thanks again.
