Eco Lifestyle work glitch?

I just installed Eco Lifestyle and created a new sim to play the expansion pack. After an in-game season, my sim went to work but there was suddenly a bug when she returned. Her icon still stated that she was at work, even though she came back to the home lot after her normal hours. I can't get into her inventory because she is "at work." I kept playing and thought that maybe once she goes back to work the next day, it will fix itself. Instead, it just deleted the option to change the effort done at work, kept the at work icon,  the career tab said work again in 24 hours, and the sim stayed at home. My sim never left for work, I can't send her, she doesn't go on her own, and her status is constantly at work. I can do things on the lots she visits as normal, but can't get into her personal inventory or use her icon to go home from a community lot. My sim can access her own inventory though, she continually drinks the fizz drinks and kombucha bought from a community lot. I exited the game and reloaded the lot and the bug is still going on. I also tried the "reset object" under cheats and it just reset where she was standing and didn't affect the work glitch. Is there another way to fix it?

I have all packs, and no custom content.
