Even though I have the original sims 4 everything is full of pixels.

So I bought the Sims 4 game some time ago and installed it in my sister's computer and this weekend I decided to download it into mine from my Origin account. And so I did. After a while of playing, one of my Sims went to the bathroom and then the pixels wouldn't leave my sim alone, they even started getting bigger. I decided to look this up on google, and it says it's a defensive mechanism against piracy... But my game is original. I have no idea what to do. Help me please.

  • And the game was always registered on YOUR account and not your sisters ?

You probably need to remove the whole game and reinstall it.

  • We use the same Origin account (it's mine), at the moment, I'm playing without internet connection because I'm at the hospital (I'm using my phone's data plan to write this). I also read online that maybe it's because it's not up to date? I don't know. I'm so mad. 😭

If you play offline, you probably didn't get the last patch update but that shouldn't matter since the game doesn' know it's not uptodate when you're offline.

Are you using mods iny our game ? Could you start a new game for testing purposes and see if it works on that or if the problem comes back ?

  • I actually kind of erased the doors to the bathrooms because I was scared it would happen again, and I was using the cheat codes for "make happy" and "make all needs static" so they wouldn't need to use the bathroom. I just put a door and made my sim use the toilet: NO PIXELS AFTER! 😃😃😃
  •  I am sorry, but you did not get the game from a legitimate source. That is the only way to get those pixels if you pirate the game.

That feature is a measure that detects pirates.

I am not saying you pirated the game, but that is the only way.

If you are telling the truth, I'd recommend updating your graphics drivers, because that seems like an outdated graphics driver.
