Game crashing without error message

After the latest update, it's been a mess.

First, the game wouldn't let me turn my mods back on, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it (backing up my mods, saves, and tray folder). I also made sure to update my mods.

After reinstalling, it gave me memory problems, but I fixed that too.

Now, when I load in, the game runs normally for about 2 minutes straight, and then it just crashes with no error message. I tried using the Better Exceptions mod to see if there were any mod conflicts (I have a few, but they're irrelevant and I've always had them and the game run perfectly fine), but I found nothing new that could explain why the game keeps crashing.

For context, I play The Sims 4 through Steam on a laptop; I play the base game + mods and CC. Idk if it could be my RAM running out, but I only ever have The Sims open. Any ideas?

  • Angia400  Please test with your Mods folder removed.  You don't need to save your progress.  If this doesn't help, test a new save, for comparison's sake.

If you get yet another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
