Expansion pack troubles
Hello! So I have the sims 4 on the EA app, but I was gifted two new packs through steam, so after downloading the sims 4 on steam as well and syncing them up, I can play through the app or steam. But the issue is regardless of if I'm playing through the app or steam, it only shows and lets me use the two packs I got from steam- I've tried uninstalling sims 4 off steam, reinstalling it, but it won't let me use the other packs even though it says I have them. I can't figure out how to uninstall sims 4 off the EA app either, so I'm at a complete loss here.
Edit: So turns out that by uninstalling sims 4 through steam, I also uninstalled it from the EA app- but after installing it in the EA app again, it now have access to my other packs, apart from the ones gotten through steam. I'm going to try reinstalling sims 4 from steam to see if that does anything.
Second edit: It didn't work, and I've gotten tired of trying to figure this out, so the person who gifted me the packs through steam has offered to gift me the other packs I had in the EA app instead. I'm thinking of just doing that and playing the sims 4 through steam from now on.
@CrystalAmethyst Please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of Sims 4 and the EA App, as described here:
Reinstall the game through Steam, sign into the EA App, and download the packs you own there, but NOT a second copy of the base game. If you can't, as in, the App tries to install the base game again, cancel the download.
In that case, open any EA site (this one is fine) in a private browser window and try to login using your Steam credentials. If the accounts are properly connected, you'll land in the corresponding EA account. If anything else happens, let me know.
