@1dbetterwords Microsoft really and I mean really wants you to use OneDrive. When you first start using Windows, OneDrive is logged in to your Windows log on user. Some users find OneDrive useful - I do not and I think most users are the same. What I did is go into OneDrive - settings - choose what folders to sync and removed the user - documents - Electronic Arts folder from syncing. That stops Onedrive from moving the game files. You can set OneDrive to keep files on the local computer rather then the cloud. You could stop OneDrive from loading on boot but the minute anything about OneDrive happens it starts by itself. If you unlink that computer that stops all syncing. and I think logs you out of OneDrive.and you will get a message about issues with your Microsoft account (if you have this account). OneDrive can be uninstalled and if you need it - OneDrive can be reinstalled form the Microsoft Store. The setting to pause syncing is not a permanent setting - it is only temporary. I do not back up my gaming computers. Storage devices are now so reliable that a total failure on a consumer computer is rare.
