[FIXED] Game Data Incomplete

Problem

When starting the game I get the following error message

Game Data Incomplete Not all game data could be loaded. The save game references neighborhoods that have been uninstalled or otherwise are no longer available. If you continue, you will encounter missing data and may have unexpected results. If you save the game, there will be no way to recover the missing data.

Cause

This message usually occurs if the data from an expansion or game pack is no longer present in the game, mostly when you uninstall the packs and try to play a save game that was saved with those expansions. It seems some data gets lost without you uninstalling something, though

Solution

  1. Close the game and do not save it.
  2. Click on the game and choose
  3. Scroll down till you see the expansions/game packs
  4. Right click on the first one and choose Repair game
  5. Repeat for all game/expansion packs
  6. Restart the game.

Click on the game in Origin.

It's an orange button with an i on it.

You need Origin to legally play the game. Even the disc version needs Origin.

I'm having this problem now and the game has had lots of updates since then so there is no "I" to click for the expansion packs... I tried repairing the main game . Nothing. Tried resetting my whole laptop. Nothing. Tried uninstalling the whole game and origin. Nothing. Tried deleting the whole Electronic Arts folder. Nothing...

When I click on certain expansion packs it says its already installed but then also has the download button right underneath. I don't know what to do now.. Pls help. I really want to play my game :'(

  • I'm having this issue. I did the repair and the message popped up when I restarted the game.

Please create a new thread with all the things you have already tried.

This error is usually fixed by repairing through Origin.

I'm going to lock this one as it's old.
