[FIXED] [PATCH 1.24.102] Map Reloading

The new game keeps working if I restart it between switching between games.but if I don't restart it when I switch between the old and new game then both games end up broken (same with mods removed). Thats what I can't understand. How can the same mods not break the new game I create. Also I know there is a mod causing a problem with the traits and with being able to click any buttons (options, and other buttons like that in the menu) and when I removed all the mods that was fixed so I am also trying to find which one is doing that.

That's what this issue does. It spreads over from save to save

Is your old save borked with no mods ?

I can't use the save button to save my games. My old games were corrupted. I managed to get a new game started and brought in a family. I tried to load a house and it didn't save it with the lot that the family was on. I had to manually make a house instead of using an old save from my library. 

This is near unplayable conditions. I don't have a save game that would be worthy of posting I can't get anything started. The only way I can save anything is to manage worlds and save from there... but the ACTUAL save button tellls me it can't save. It says the file is corrupted and a string of numbers.

I'm going to try repairing and if that doesn't work, I'll uninstall. Either way, this patch messed everything up.

edit: I'm running a pretty decent pc with a radeon card which just updated drivers today. I was able to play before the patch was released. Near impossible after because I have no faith that anything with stay in the save.

Does the error start with 300 ? Do yo ualso have map reloading ?

Are you using any mods ?

The issue in your save is very reproducible.

I haven't found a way to solve it yet but I'll forward your save game to the devs. It's throwing lots of errors, so they should be able to figure out what's going on.

What you can do is save your house to the library. This way you still have your skulls.

Before ever loading a lot, go directly to build mode from the main menu. Then upload the lot from there.

I've tried all your backups and they also don't work.

Please do make sure you update/remove incompatible mods.

Hello I forwarded my save causing the problem it should be called Slot_00000001.save.ver1.

Sorry, I'm somewhat of a lurker but I have been adamantly following this post since my game stopped loading. I couldn't believe something like this happened on the first sim session I tried to play right after pre-ordering City Living...

Thank you for trying, hopefully EA makes some kind of master patch to resolve the problem since this issue not only affected those with mods in their game but also those without.

I also seem to be having this issue. I have tried reinstalling the base game and all of my expansion packs but this doesn't seem to have done anything.

Before i am able to get into the family it reloads back to the world screen.

How do i go about getting Sims to work again?

@mlj2v07 Is your computer a pc or mac? If you start a new game does the game work? Do you have any cc/mods installed?

It is a PC. If i start a new game i can create a family but then it goes back to the same world screen without loading.

I dont think that i have any mods (wouldnt know how to install!)

Having the same issue.  Tried everything that has been suggested and nothing works for my old (beloved) save.  New saves work completely fine.  Desperate for answers and appreciate all your help! 

If your issue is not mod related, there's not much you can for the moment.

I suggest to keep your save in a safe place and start a new one for now

i uninstalled the game, repaired it twice, deleted all of my cc and script mods, tried to correct the saves folder and then made a new household cc-free. it didn't load. i don't know what eçse i should do

So this seems to have been an issue since the 27th of October for some... Is there going to be a rollback anytime soon to allow the game to be at least playable? I'm a little confused as to the lack of response or evidence of something being done by EA? I hate that I just bought the new expansion and can not take part in the new features or gameplay besides CAS...

#FirstWorldProblems I know, but I need to escape into the Sims World since the real world is just getting ridiculous.

Are you also getting this on new saves ?  It should work to just play a new save for now until the error gets fixed. You don't have to get rid of your old one. Keep it in a safe place until then.

EA/Maxis never gives out ETA's on fixes.
