Since most players don't have this problem, it looks like your computer, but rather your graphics card has something to do with this error and you could be right. Windows 10 update will remove anything that is not compatible with it, including graphics card drivers. so check if you have still these drivers

Thank you for your help. My GTX 1080 drivers were up to date according to both my PC and Geforce Experience. I reinstalled through Geforce in case they didn't install properly the first time, and now my gallery seems to work again. It's still on the slower side, but at least the content is actually loading and can be used. Hoping it stays this way, lol.
- 6 years ago@kreatora I'm having the same issue that @TitaniumHeartz had.
Recently my hard drive stopped working and I had to switch to another one. Now I use an HD SSD. One month ago the game and the gallery worked fine, but now the game crashes, glitch and the gallery is slow, doesn't load the images and often appears an "X". I believe the problem is not in the computer.- kreatora6 years agoHero (Retired)
@TampsBR
You can rename the Sims 4 folder to "Sims 4 Old" and load a fresh folder to eliminate the possibility that this is an error of the game.

But I think this is rather a card drivers problem.
Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?
