Gallery name changed

if you're talking about the name that's also showing here, I would suggest changing it so it's not a security risk. You should be able to change it in your Origin profile.

Now, about the gallery name change: Did you ever have a Origin account called FrogPrince and then renamed that or how did you used to login into the game ? If you changed it, the funny thing is, that many have complained about that it didn't change: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Origin-is-hosting-my-Gallery-uploads-under-two-different/td-p/6524041/ and say that it's still an issue.

When you're logged into the gallery, there should be a tab. Is that your Origin one and has no content ? I can't find any content under the name you show here so is everything you uploaded gone ?

Which other ones are missing ?

Thank you for your response.  I have never had an Origin ID as FrogPrince. My origin ID, as long as I can remember has been the YOB thing.

The only way I can see my creations is in My Library.  There the appear under the name Y0B.... or under the name of SirSimALot, whose creations I have used an modified many time.  I can no longer find him on the gallery either.  I am 75 years old.  I find it extremely difficult to understand all the things you must do or sites you nust go to in order to solve your problem.  My interest in the Sims is rapidly declining and I am so glad I did not purchase  a lot of the Sims 4 material. Trouble shooting is not user friendly.

I've split your post from the rest as I feel you're facing more difficult issue that may not be related to the gallery update.

So, for troubleshooting purposes, this is easier.

First question: Do you want to change your Origin user name on here ? I can try get you detailed instructions for that, if you wanna do that.

Have your creations ever been in the gallery or did you always just see them under my library ? The my library is files locally on your computer and that has nothing to do with the online gallery. If you just save them there and you can no longer see them, that means they either got deleted from your hard drive or the game is now using a different folder.

To my knowledge, the gallery has always used the OriginID and never any Sims identities you might have on the forums (different from the exchange in Sims 3).

I've checked the SirSimALot and while I can still find the name, I also see no content. Is this your user name also or someone elses ? 

Hopefully we can figure this out together. I can try post some pictures to make it clearer what I see if needed. I've seen that you were sent here from the officials by a moderator but I think, he misunderstood your issue just like I did in the beginning. The thread you posted in was to collect all new issues with the gallery in one space and then take troubleshooting from there if necessary as most issues posted in there so far were either mod related or intermediate issues.

Don't believe yours is that. Think is more something that just needs explaining or maybe looked into more closely if there's really stuff disappearing from the gallery.

Thank you for your response.  My Sims creations have always appeared under the name FrogPrince.  I have always been able to see my creations I have posted to the Gallery and  in 'My Library.'  I had no idea My Library was posted on my hard drive - where do you find it.   The changes made the other day altered all that.

SirSimALot is a Sim creator whose Sims  I have used and greatly altered for my creations.  They now appear in My Library as his (I have no problem with that.  I do not accept the idea that the fault is in my computer.  I had no problems until I downloaded the update yesterday.  What I find particularly galling is that I have now won badges for posting on this forum as a novice.  They have done nothing to solve my problem.  They can take their badges back - just return the Gallery to how it worked  before they messed it up.  Also, I can't see how changing my Origin ID will help.  I tried once before to change that ID and it was not accepted.

changing the name would be more for security reasons cause you said it looked like a password and you don't want to have it publicly show. It's not a way to solve the problem.

I am trying to help you but I don't have to tools to find out what happened and why they showed as FrogPrince before and now they don't. Seems a bit strange to me as you never used it as OriginID. Ignore the badge on here. They're just a way to say welcome in a way. Sometimes it can take a moment to solve a problem and as it's the weekend, it can be even a bit slower.

If you still have your creations in your library, you should be able to just re-upload them to the gallery (although they will not show under FrogPrince but under the ID you have here unless you change it). The files in your library are locally saved and can be found in this folder: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\tray. Each upload uses several files. They usually have the same date. It's a good idea to backup this folder.

You don't happen to have a screenshot on how it looked before for you ? That might be helpful.

I will try find out more on Monday to see if we can sort this out but I'm afraid, they won't be reverting the changes. Something strange is for sure going on in your account but that's maybe only something someone with access to your account can look at.

Thank you for your help.  The last place I'll look for help is the EA help support.  Been there and done that without solving my problem.  I'll wait until Monday.  I can't  give any more time to this today.  I realize the badges are computer generated.  They have no idea what is going on but it is really annoying.

I've asked around a bit and I think I know where I got it wrong: The Sort By Popular now. 

I found your creations on the gallery. but you need to change the sort by to Newest.

I can see all your creations under your EA Account ID (= OriginID). All of them seem to have the HashTag: FrogPrince (they changed the order on that). So I think you might have sorted them by hashtag and entered frogprince there instead of OriginID ? Is that possible ? If I use the hashtag, I can find your things (but again, only if I choose Newest). This popular now thing is a bit confusing.

Let me know, if that could be the confusion or if you need further help.

Thank you Crinricht for all your help.  It has really been appreciated.  I have been able to find my uploads to the Gallery by clicking on 'Newest.'  I can use Y0B73T0X or the hash tag Frog Prince to find them.   Whenever I have uploaded something  I wrote ' xxx' is a FrogPrince creation.  Then I always added the hash tag FrogPrince. That is how they have always appeared in the Gallery until the recent changes.  Now everything  appears under the ID Y0B73TOX. This is my security code for Origin and I do not like it being used  and without them asking permission.  Makes me think private information is no longer safe on the website.
