Game can't load, when it tries to get to the main menu it crashes.

I read another discussion where the user was advised to remove their saves folder and put it back, and i tried that and the game managed to load to the main menu. However, naturally my saves were gon...

Having the same issue, tried everything in the book! Issue started with the newest update. I'm not OP but adding my dxdiag file here in case it helps narrow down the problem from the dev / tech support end.

ETA: could launch the game and start a new save if my saves file was empty, but upon closing the game, couldn't load THAT save again either.
