Game Constantly Crashes

I've gone through a lot of troubleshooting, only to still have problems.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card, and it's up to date.

My computer is up to date.

After troubleshooting for DAYS with the same issue, I resorted to removing my Sims 4 folder. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game entirely.

I ran the game with FRESH files - no saves, no tray files, no screen shots, no mods, etc. Freshly installed game, fresh Sims 4 folder, fresh save, used whatever Sim came up in CAS, and played the game - meaning I also didn't use ANYTHING from the Gallery.

After about 5-10 minutes, the game crashes. It doesn't matter what the sim is doing. Home Lot, Community Lot, doesn't matter. I even just let the Autonomy run, and it still crashes.

I'm at my wits end. I own literally every single expansion, pack, and kit - have a gaming computer tha tcan clearly handle the specs, no mods, and the game still can't even run.

I don't know what else to do. I shouldn't have these issues after completely uninstalling and not adding anything back in that could possibly be corrupted. Pure Vanilla.

Any help at all is greatly appreciated! I've attached my latest crash report and my LE.

  • ravenbellebuilds  The Sims 4 errors in your dxdiag are the type often seen on high-end Intel processors that the motherboard may overclock by default.  A BIOS update can help here, so look for a newer BIOS for your board.  I believe this is your model, but double-check before downloading anything:

    https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/PRO-Z790-P-WIFI/support

Your dxdiag lists your current BIOS version as A.90, which is not the format that the download page uses, so you may need to pull your version from elsewhere on your computer.  Point is, if there's a newer version, install it and see whether Sims 4 stops crashing.

If that doesn't help, or you're already running the newest BIOS, try disabling CPU Turbo Boost in the BIOS Advanced settings.

Thank you so much for your help!!!

Luckily I have a friend who was able to walk me through the process of updating the BIOS - I was so worried about breaking something permanently!

I've played the game for several hours - mods, saves, everything - and no crashes yet. Again, I appreciate you taking your time to help me!

Edit: I should note that I did not have to take the extra step of disabling the CPU Turbo Boost, just updating the BIOS seems to have done the trick!
