Game crash after update

I am sure there are other posts on this and I am sorry if this has already been mentioned somewhere else. I have been struggling to get the game to run since the update in April. I have tried all sorts of things mentioned in various fora, including removing mods, updating Windows, performing a clean install, repairing the game, updating and rolling back graphics card drivers etc. The game just kept crashing after a few minutes during gameplay, even after a completely fresh install without any mods or cc. I thought it was an issue with the Nvidia graphics card drivers. Needless to say, this is a quite powerful gaming PC, only purchased 3 months ago. Before the updates I did not have this issue and I am using a LOT of mods and cc. After lots of research and a painful two weeks of not being able to play the game, I found the solution! I updated my bios firmware and boom! The game started running smoothly again  with all mods and cc. It has been more than 24 hours that I left the game on and no issues yet. I hope this helps fellow gamers who may be facing a similar issue. Just to conclude, I really don't see the point in constantly updating a game, which has been around for more than 10 years and breaking things, but I am sure EA will know the reason.
