Game crash, lost families

Hi, I have a MacBook Air M3 and my game has now crashed two times, each of the time I have lost all of my progress from a whole day of playing, which includes building a big house from scratch. As you can imagine, I am really frustrated and helpless, right now and I don't know what to do to recover those families, since I didn't save the worlds manually. I have tried some recovery engines, but that did not work at all. I have also consulted ChatGPT and it said something about EA cloud saves, but I don't know how to get to those or if that even is a thing. Is there anything I can do to try and recover my progress?
