Game Crashes Immediately

I'll go onto the EA app and click to open the Sims or click on it from my desktop and it'll just open in the very corner of my screen and then immediately close. I tried updating and resetting my computer, I took out my mods and repaired my game, I put the sims game as a virus exemption on my settings, I deleted the EA app and the Sims game and redownloaded it, and nothing seems to be working. I'm not sure what's wrong with it. I attached the picture of what appears and then immediately closes and takes me back to the EA app whenever I try to open the game. Thanks.

  • @Brooklyn222  Try forcing the game to launch in windowed mode.  Go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, open Options.ini, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).

If that doesn't help, close any apps you use that come with overlays: Steam, Discord, etc.  Disable the EA App in-game overlay as well; the option is under Settings > Application.

@puzzlezaddict Okay i had a simular problem, and i did this and now it runs. Can i get now also running in ´´normal´´ fullscreen??
  • @1989Loki  Sure, you can try, but also change the in-game resolution to match your monitor.  If you don't know what that is, you can see it under Windows Settings > System > Display.

You can also try playing in "windowed fullscreen" (borderless) mode.
