Game crashes or freezes in build mode since March 2025 update.

My game started crashing while I’m in build mode after the latest update.  I don’t use mods or CC. I started a new save file and now it freezes while in build mode and will crash in the live gameplay mode. It doesn’t happen immediately. I’ll play for about 15-30 minutes before it freezes or crashes. I’ve checked my drivers and they’re all up-to-date.
I included my dxdiag if needed.

  • MN_Girl_75  Please force the game to run in DirectX 11 mode.  Open the EA App, click Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and add -dx11 to the command line box.

If this doesn't help, I'd need to see the entire dxdiag, saved as a text file, not just this photo of the first page of information.

I have tried without -dx11 and with and it still crashes while in build mode in my save. It doesn't seem to affect any new saves only my ones before B&H. 😭

This is my text file of the most current crash. Please help!

  • carjeajoh  The DX11 fix is for a very specific issue that only affects certain hardware.  So I'm not surprised it didn't help you.

I asked for a dxdiag in the thread where you previously posted, and I would still like one now.  However, since only some saves are affected, I'd also like to know whether all lots are affected in one of those saves, or at least a sampling.  Please try building on lots you've never modified before: no edits, no build of your own, nothing placed from the Gallery.

The lastcrash didn't attach, but that's fine, most of the file is unusable for anyone who doesn't work for EA.  I'd rather see a dxdiag and hear how building on default lots goes.

Is this the file you are referring to?

Edit: I keep trying to attach the file you are looking for, but it won't load. :/

  • carjeajoh  If you can't attach the dxdiag, upload it to a free filesharing site (Google Drive, Dropbox, Pastebin, etc.) and link it here.  In the case of Google Drive, make sure "anyone with the link" can read it.

I don't need to see the lastcrash.
