I'm sorry, I don't remember which .dll it had an issue with. I have reinstalled Sims 4 and now when I run it, I get the error "Can't run The Sims 4 with the video card in this system. Please check that the video card meets the minimum specifications and that the latest video drivers are installed." This error occurs whether I run the x65 or LE version and whether I use the NVidia graphics card or the on-board graphics.
Also, I do have the latest version of my graphics driver.
Latest update: I restarted my machine. Now, I get an error saying "Invalid license. Reason code = No License (0x0003).
I found the solution that says to delete the .dlf file. I deleted the file and restarted. Now it just has an application error: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application.

I seem to have gotten it to work last night. Repairing never worked for me. It always hangs at 0%-2% and quotes me hours to repair. I reinstalled Origin and Sims 4, and they are working now. The one thing I did differently was install them both on the C: drive. My C drive is the smaller OS drive, so I prefer installing games on the 2TB SSD. I do this with Steam and everything runs fine. I tried with both on the D drive, then with Origin in C and Sims in D, and now with both on the C drive it works.
Thank you again for your help. Not just here, but other places too. Every time I encountered one of the dozens of issues I had, a Google search led me to you helping someone else with the same issue, so thanks.
