Game crashing during launch!

Hello,

Just in the last few days my game will not load. It continuously closes as the game is starting to launch. I repaired the game several times. I have removed ALL mods. I have uninstalled and re-installed the game. My PC desktop is up to date on Windows 11, and my graphics card is also up to date (I have a gaming computer). It was perfectly fine just days ago. I did move over the weekend, but I have literally moved my computer 1 a month to a relatives house to play and have never encountered an issue. I have been playing and using mods since the first Sims came out. Please help.

Omgah this also happening to me just in the last few days! I have uninstalled, reinstalled. All mods removed, repaired the game several times. NOTHING is working. This has never happened before.

  • izumibLeu  If you haven't already, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  If it copies instead of moving, or you get an error when trying to move it, stop here and let me know.

Otherwise, when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.

If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
