Game goes missing from origin library

Hello.

I've bought TheSims4 a little more than two years ago in a store. I've loaded the disc and was able to successfully install and play the game. Some time in 2016 I stopped playing for a short while. When I wanted to play the game again, I had to update origin. After the update was complete, I saw that origin got a completely new look since I last launched it. I also noticed that TheSims4 was gone from my game library. I still have the game downloaded on my computer, but every time I try to launch it it just launches origin and tells me I have to activate the game. I tried to do it with the old product code, but of course it didn't let me do it since the code has already been used.

TheSims4 is the only origin game I have and so it is the only one that dissapeared.

I hope I supplied enough information and would gladly appreciate your help.

  • Give these a try:

The game no longer shows up in Origin

    Try the following things:

    • Restart Origin.
    • Log out and back in and use the email address instead of the user name. Make sure to use the one you used to register the game in the first place.
    • Reinstall Origin.
    • Restart your router/modem.
    • Make sure the game isn't hidden by accident. To check, put the filter to Hidden Games. If it's there, right-click on the game to unhide ((click on the spoiler below to view an exemplary screenshot))
