I was able to play for about 4 hours without a crash so it seems that it's possible the culprit was a corrupted driver. I will keep vigilant of this and make another post if it continues to crash, thank you for your assistance puzzlezaddict.
DaisyC74 Your dxdiag doesn't contain any error reports. Do you use a cleaner app or something else designed to delete temporary files? If so, please disable or remove it—the app may be deleting the problem reports, which we need in order to figure this out.
Once you've done that, or you can skip this step if you don't have any such app, please look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor. Click Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day. Today is on the right.
Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent Sims 4 crash. If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here. If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.
