Game keeps crashing
The game crashes all the time, it is no longer playable. I am playing on a PC laptop and the crash causes the machine to turn off completely.

Thanks, I tried that and it is still crashing. I did update a lot of drivers tho.

I've tried switching to that card several times in the past and did so again today, alas to no avail. Here's the new info:
Thanks for all of your help but nothing seems to be working. I usually use the laptop on my lap, with it sitting on a pillow. I think it's a hardware problem, will probably have to wait until I get a proper desktop.
Could you try putting a plate underneath it, or a book. With a cushion you block the air flow, which causes overheating.
Pillows are a VERY bad idea. They block your fans, especially if they are at the bottom.
Get a cooling pad instead and you should be fine
