rosa_e13 Have you restarted your computer since you got the "failed to launch game" error? If so, and you're still seeing the error, does the game actually open now? There are some other recommendations in the first post of this thread for this error, but they mostly only apply to when the game doesn't open at all, not when it launches and crashes afterwards.

Please let me know whether any of these help. And if the game does in fact open now, let me know what you see: a crash, lag, whatever.
Please also provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
