Game not working correctly after the update

My game updated around 18:10 uk time (03/02/26) on steam. but it’s like it’s only partly updated I have the new family trees but the stairs and railing options are not there, I have the event pop up ...

AstirWizard2 Please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see which problems are still present.

Please also let me know what exactly you see when you try to do an event task.

We did all of this but our saves and gallery aren’t showing up as played before. How long will the saves not be read by the game? Is there something else we need to do?
