game status disappeared

Hello, I last played Sims 4 at the beginning of October. When I started my game again a few days ago, my entire save game was gone. There were no old save games under the "Load Game" button either. I had always saved my game when I left the game. When I look in Windows Explorer under Documents, Sims 4, Saves, there are several files from 10/9/24 that I think are old save games that the game cannot load. My game was updated a few days ago. I had also used mods.
I have already contacted EA Help and chatted with EA. They checked my game but could not find any errors, but they suspect that my game has a bug, which is why I should now report here so that the Community Manager can deal with it as a priority.
I would be very grateful if you could help me.

  • 3xv8wqduveaq  This is not a game bug, it's a system issue.  And EA community managers are not support reps; their job is to manage the forums, not necessarily to fix individual system issues, and definitely not to fix actual game bugs.  I say this for informational purposes, so you know what to expect here.

For the issue itself, the saves need to be in the Sims 4 folder the game is actaully reading.  Here's how to find it:

If that doesn't help, please post a screenshot of the contents of the folder that contains the saves you found, as in, I'd like to see the saves' names and dates.  Include the address bar, above the list of files, in the screenshot.  Please also list the folder the game is reading, as described in the above link.

Thanks puzzlezaddict, that worked. I don't know exactly how it happened, but in my Windows Explorer under Documents I had a folder called Sims 4 and a folder called Electronic Arts. My old save game was saved in the Sims 4 folder, the game saved the save games in the Electronic Arts folder. I simply copied the save game from the wrong folder into the right one (into the Saves subfolder) and I was able to load my old save game again.
