19ff572c2f9b74ee It sounds like either the files have somehow all been renamed, or they're not inside the Sims 4 folder the game is currently reading. The latter can change for system reasons, for example OneDrive reenabling itself after a Windows update. Point is, please find the full path to the folder the game is currently reading. Here's how:
https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/
Compare that to the full path to one of your files, as in, right-click one and select Properties > General. The part before Documents is what I think might not match.
If the files are in the correct location, according to Sims 4 itself, please post a screenshot of the contents of the saves folder, as in, I'd like to see the file names and sizes.

Hi, I also have the same problem after updating new patch. One of my saves has disappeared
(my menu is looking exactly like this post
https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=3792759524202104&set=gm.2440128613005511&idorvanity=1100865080265211
)
and I tried to find that save file with the link that you gave. Could you guide me on what to do with these files, please?
P.S. the file that was saved before updating is Slot_00000004.save.ver3 (5/14/2026 12:34 AM) - 19ff572c2f9b74ee1 day agoSeasoned Newcomer
I compared the file paths from where my save files are located and where the game is looking and in looking at the website you shared (that I will so be bookmarking, thank you) I realized that my game was saving to my OneDrive not the actual computer where the game runs from.
I asked ChatGPT how to fix this (as I could not find a way to edit the path in my game) and it said to disable syncing to OneDrive
Click the little OneDrive cloud icon near your clock
Click the gear icon
Choose Settings
Go to: Sync and Backup
Click: Manage Backup
Turn OFF backup for: Documents
Windows may ask if you want to keep files locally. Say yes.I did this and my saves and files are back!!!!!!
Thank you so so much for your help!!
