Game window won't fullscreen/change

I'm currently not able to get my game to Fullscreen. I use srwe when taking screenshots and since i updated my game last week, when i went to use srwe again my game just went unresponsive. Like completely. I've tried uninstalling srwe and even took out my mods folder but the same thing still happens every time i try to change the screen settings. I can't event minimize or enlarge the window without it freezing. Any tips other than what I've already tried?

  • @simmtea  Please remove GShade, which is currently not compatible with Sims 4, as well as Relight and anything else you've added.  Then try again.  Once the game is working properly, you can try adding back one utility at a time, or something else entirely.  If your computer has an Nvidia graphics card, Freestyle is a viable option too, and it doesn't require outside software.

  • @simmtea  Have you set the in-game resolution to match the current resolution of your monitor?  If you're not sure what your monitor uses, that's fine, I'd like a dxdiag anyway, which would include that info, so just let me know what resolution you're setting in-game when you try to switch to fullscreen.  Here's how to run a dxdiag:

Please also let me know if you're using any other tools (Reshade, Bandicam, whatever) that record gameplay or change how the game looks.

@puzzlezaddict I do have gshade and I had also downloaded relight as well before i had this issue. So at first I assumed it was relight and uninstalled it but that didn't fix the issue. As for my games current resolution(while windowed its 1,904 x 993) and for full screen it would be 1,920 x 1,080.

Thanks for the replies! I uninstalled gshade and that seemed to fix the issue. I'll try reinstalling it as well as relight again later because I'd prefer to be able to use both of them but if I run in to issues again, I'll just go without them till one or the other gets updated.
