Game won’t load after February 12 hotfix
Hi.
After the February 12 hotfix my game stopped launching properly.
It gets stuck on the loading screen with the green plumbob and never loads further.
Important: the game worked normally just a few hours before the hotfix.
What I tested:
- Removed all mods
- Deleted localthumbcache and cache folders
- Repaired the game through Steam
- Deleted GameVersion.txt
- Tried launching with a clean user folder
The problem still persists.
The game freezes on the loading screen even without mods.
Is anyone else experiencing this after the Feb 12 hotfix? T_T😓
llm546b4efjt When you say you tried a clean user folder, did you put anything into the clean folder, or is it possible that a syncing service (e.g. OneDrive) restored some files? If you're not sure, have a look at the new folder. You should have zero saves or Tray files (but perhaps a scratch folder inside saves), and a lower number of other files and folders than what you'd normally see. How many depends on when in the process of loading the game is getting stuck.
You can also try playing with your computer offline. Sign into Steam and the EA App, put the App (and maybe Steam, not sure) into offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.
If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
