game won't open when i click play, first it directly closed as soon as it opened, then it opened ea app instead of the game, and now it simply won't launch at all. i have tried removing EVERY mod, un...

The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run. Disable the rest as described.

When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled. If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.

Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.

Disable Windows Defender's Controlled Folder Access while testing.

nopleaseguys Most of the errors in your dxdiag are from Acer registration software, so I'd suggest disabling that in the Task Manager's Startup list just to get it out of the way. Even a crash of unrelated software can cause performance issues.

Please also update the driver for your laptop's graphics chip. Acer doesn't offer a newer driver, but Intel does. You can get it here:

Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Restart the laptop afterwards and before trying to play.

If that doesn't help, are you getting the "failed to launch game" error? If so, please restart your computer and try again. I also listed a number of other ways to troubleshoot the error here:

ok so Acer's registration software is not in the startup list in the first place for some reason
anyways i updated my driver and restarted my laptop but i still have the same issue, here's the error
