game wont start, stuck in white screen

this is my first time opening the game in this pc - just installed it and ran it. it just gets stuck on a white screen. i started the game with task manager open, and the game, the second it starts, appears as not responding, even though it actually doesnt pop up the not responding message. i tried to repair it (although i dont have anything to repair for i dont have any data or gametime or mods or saves) and it just does nothing
