I am looking at getting back into the Sims and want to purchase a laptop for pretty much just that. Overwhelmed with choice and opinions - have looked at the following. Budget under $2k

If so, I would at least cross off the Acer because its hardware is no better than that of the Legion (minus the extra RAM, which Sims 4 doesn't need), and the Legion is a higher-quality laptop overall. But I'd be happy to look around for more options for you if you're still shopping.
