Get to Work can't leave work or go home

Hi!  Im kinda new to Sims 4.  I got the expansion Get to Work which worked fine until the second to last update on Origin.  Now when I go to work with my sim they are stuck there after they are paid for that day's work and can't go home.  Also, they get no credit for any tasks once they have been paid.  I really like this expansion so I hope it's a simple oversight on my part or a glitch that's easy to repair.   FYI have tried using different sims and different game saves but the results are the same.
