Heavy FPS problems after updates

Hello,

after about 2-6 months of not playing sims 4 and after updating sims 4 i recently noticed fps problems dropping to 10-20 fps without reason ingame. In my opinion sims 4 have too many fps problems without mods. I also have tried to reinstall sims 4 but the problem is still there so i think EA is fixing this bug now or? The FPS is not fixed with ESC or Build Mode/Live Mode switching. I really have to restart the game to get into this problem again. Its happening on all savegames, also new savegames.

I have a RTX 2070 Super, i7 13700KF CPU and 64 GB RAM.

Does anyone know how to fix?

    Hello @puzzlezaddict ,

I've disabled the EA Overlay and turned Offline Mode on and tested it and seems to work. I've played with my already existing profile.

I've played before with everything enabled (Online Mode & Overlay enabled) and the problem wasn't there. I only had the fps bugs when i entered build/story mode and it turned into 10-30 fps from nowhere and to fix it i had to press esc and close the menu again and then the fps bug was gone until it comes back, i don't know why this bug exist.

I will try it out again today and mark your answer as solver if this won't happen again

  • @Loki2019_96  Does this happen if you play while your computer is offline?  You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.

If that does help, try playing while your computer is online but the App is still in offline mode.

If going offline doesn't help, please let me know whether this happens in a new save with nothing added to it: no new builds or sims, just the default content.  Please test on a small lot in one of the base game worlds, and if that goes well, you can branch out from there.
