DajaBCroom That's a breakpoint error, and one cause is a bad driver. Did you update the Nvidia driver, as described? Can you confirm that the current Nvidia driver is new and not corrupt or missing? To check, click Windows key-X, select the Device Manager, expand Display Adapters, right-click the Nvidia entry, and choose Properties. You'll see whether the device is working properly, and the Driver tab will list the driver version and release date.
If that's all fine, please try again to play immediately after restarting your computer, with nothing else running aside from the EA App. Breakpoint errors can also happen when the app runs out of memory, and while your laptop has enough RAM for Windows and Sims 4, it might not have enough for everything else that could be open at the same time.
