I was having issues when I first got my new laptop with my origin account coming up super tiny to the point I could barely log in because I couldn't read it. Gameplay and everything was fine though. After the recent update on origin and sims 4, my origin became magnified, but in my game the curser, and where it shows the different modes and settings and moods and all that important stuff are super small like my origin was. I cant read any of the content. I tried making the UI bigger which helped a little with the size of the controls but not the curser and it still isn't even as big as it normally is. Any ideas on how to fix it so I can play my game again???

Hi @woeiszhane, Wow, that's a monitor! Ok, you can delete the new "The Sims 4" folder the game just created (be careful, don't delete "The Sims 4 old"!) and rename "The Sims 4 old" >> "The Sims 4" if you want. That way you would get your games back (and your issue). You can restart the settings by deleting the files options.ini and usersettings.ini. By doing so, the game will have the same resolution than in your test. As the issue seems to be related with the resolution of the game, ¿could you tell me the model of the monitor you are using? I have had this same problem for some time now and it's getting so frustrating to the point I can't even play the game anymore. It starts up and everything is fine then the maxis logo comes up and all the sudden my cursor shrinks. Once the main game screen comes up everything is decently normal sized except my cursor where the game settings are and all the control stuff basically. Game play is the same way. The sims and everything are normal sized I think except my cursor, game settings, where all the needs and where your sims picture is to click who you want to control. All super tiny. And when something happens at work or school and it gives you an option to choose which scenario. That's super tiny and build mode is all tiny. Idk how to fix it. I've messed with the resolution that did nothing I've gone into the manual settings and messed with the uiscale , that also has done nothing. I've tried chatting with ea about it but the process takes so long after a certain time it would drop my conversation with them and send me to another person so that didn't solve anything. I just really need help so I can play this game

Hi @woeiszhane,

Please, go to Documents \ Electronic Arts and rename the folder "The Sims 4" for "The Sims 4 old". Then open the game again and check if there's any differences. (Your saved games won't be there, but don't worry, it's just to test and try to identify the issue).

If there are no changes, could you please take a screenshot inside the game so we can understand better what you are seeing? (Go to Screen capture tab inside game options and make sure "Capture UI" is selected in Picture capture options)

Also, which resolution do you have in the computer and which resolution does the game have?

Yes everything looked normal sized after renaming the folder, however the game doesn't fill up my whole screen, which is probably due to default settings putting it at the lowest resolution in the game. My computers resolution is 3840x2160, in the game after renaming the file it is 1024x768, before renaming the file I believe it was set to the highest which is the 3840x2160.

And yes it is the same issue as my last thread, that's how long I've been trying to play my game teeny tiny. ☹️

You are seriously a lifesaver. My game is back to normal after resetting all the settings, I changed my in game resolution to 2048x1152 to help clear up the picture and changed my UI to 85 to make it a little bigger and its perfect! It's actually looking like how its supposed to.

As for monitor I am on a laptop so I'm not sure if the screen itself has its own properties, but I am using the Dell Inspiron 15 7548 series with ultra HD touchscreen

I am having the same issue. I renamed the folder and re-entered the game and nothing changed. My cursor is the only thing that is super tiny and everything else is just a little smaller than normal. Can you simplify the steps to make sure i am not missing something?

Could you tell us which is the resolution of your monitor? Also, if you are not playing in a laptop, do you know the model of your monitor?

If you can take a photograph or screenshot of the game so we can see exactly what you are seing, that might also help 😉
