Help my sims 4 won't even launch ;-;

mine is doing the same thing... when i click on the game either on steam or EA it will load and then does nothing, like it just opens EA again or like i just opened EA it has been like 4ish days maybe more... i have tried everything and it does nothing and i just get more confused... i did get a new laptop so i don't know if that has something to do with that? and a family member is going through the same thing but idk how long they've been dealing with it and i don't know if they got a new laptop either... please! i just want to Make sims and Build ToT
