This worked! I then moved just my "saves" file to the new folder and I got my saved games back and it still appears to be working. Thank you!!
Vandamm593 The issue could easily be a certain kind of adult mod. We can't really provide support for those (site rules), but if you want to go back to using it, the Sims After Dark Discord is a good resource. Or you could install a fresh copy and see what happens. Worst case, the game stops working, and you trash the new Sims 4 folder and let the game create another one.
Broken cc can also prevent Sims 4 from opening, although it's somewhat less common.
Anyway, I'm glad your issue is fixed now.

Thank you so much for all your help! I do have one last question. So it lets me make a new save but how do I get my old saves back. Or is it just lost lost.

Thank you for your response. I've tried both of these with the same results. I'm plugged into the charged now. Going to run a new dxDiag.
Vandamm593 You can try loading your save in the new Sims 4 folder now, but don't bring over any other content at the same time. If you can't load your main household, use Load Game to try a different household, play that for a bit, and try to switch back to your main sims again. If that doesn't work either, move the sims to a different lot and try to load them and their lot separately.
At the very least, if you can get to Manage Worlds, you should be able to save your sims to the in-game library and place them, and any builds you want to preserve, in a new save. But hopefully the save itself is salvageable through one of the above approaches.
oliviamay200 Your new dxdiag shows the same Sims 4 crashes due to the Intel graphics driver as the old one. So please set the Nvidia Control Panel to always use the Nvidia GPU. (This is just a test; you wouldn't want to keep this setting permanently.) Under Manage 3D Settings > Global settings, choose the high-performance Nvidia option, right near the top. Restart your computer and try again to play.
If the game still doesn't work, please look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor. Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day. Today is on the right.
Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent attempt to play. If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here. If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.

Bucket ID: f4c525bbae91e0728b085c7d02e6bd30 (1947908530827083056) oliviamay200 Please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of both graphics drivers at the same time. Here's how to do it:
Use the drivers MSI provides for your laptop, at least for now. Go here:
https://www.msi.com/Laptop/Sword-15-A11UX/support?sub_product=Sword-15-A11UD
Select Sword 15 A11UD if it's not already showing, then Drivers & Downloads, Driver, Graphics, and download the Intel and Nvidia drivers. I realize they're a bit old, but you can update later if necessary, whereas reverting to an older driver would require another clean uninstall.
The proper order of operations here is uninstall the Nvidia driver > uninstall the Intel driver > restart > reinstall the Intel driver > restart > reinstall the Nvidia driver > restart, all while offline. If you still can't play, please post the same Reliability Monitor info, but check the time stamp to confirm it's a new error.
