I received a notification that the new Lovetruck expansion was available for download today. I had preordered it and went to download it but I get an error message that says "There is a problem with your download. Something went wrong during your download. Give us a few minutes, then try again." (pics are on my phone) and then at the bottom left corner it says that there is a download error and the download is paused. I have cleared the cache several times. I have checked my settings everywhere. Nothing on my end should be preventing this from downloading. I had recently bought several other packs on the Summer sales event and had no issues downloading them. It's just the Lovestruck expansion.

The new Lovestruck expansion pack is not being released until Thursday July 25th but the free base game patch was released today and it sounds like it's this download that has stuck for you. Remove your mods folder if you played with mods, delete the localthumbcache folder in Documents/Electronic Arts after signing out of the EA app and sign back in again and hopefully the download will start afresh or continue.

they changed the original download date then because it was originally supposed to release today. They were supposed to notify the public when they do this. Bad form EA

As long as the base game patch downloads correctly you shouldn't have problems with downloading the Lovestruck EP on Thursday.

Lovestruck has yet to be released. It’s an error from EA app. The software is not yet out

I pre-ordered the new lovestruck pack a couple days ago however when I go to install it in my game there's an error that keeps popping up saying "Download Error" I've already tried to clear the cache however that did nothing for this issue. I've been dyinggg to try it out can someone help me?

Waited 2+ hours for the expansion pack to download. It says it finished and I go back into my game wanting to check everything out and I hover over the new world and it says it needs to finish downloading and then restart again.. okay even went back to check again.. seems like everything is good AGAIN nope so I can’t play with the new expansion even though it’s downloaded..?? Nice been waiting two days. 🥲

Hi, I bought the Lovestruck expansion on cdkeys and entered the code early this morning (In UK time). I realise the game isn't released until 6pm in my time (about 9 hours away), but my account isn't showing that I own it. I tried redeeming the code again, and obviously its saying its already been redeemed. Is this because the game isn't released yet, or has it not been added to my account?
I've bought many games from them in the past and never had an issue before, I assume its all legal? I'm also having issues with my account lately that games keep being removed and I am resetting my account cache every 2 days in order to get my games back. I redeemed the code through the EA website on my tablet just after midnight last night, then logged on to my PC at about 8.30am I had to reset my cache again as games had been removed, including The Sims, so I don't know if this caused the issue?

Ok, so I just ran The Sims, and under the Lovestruck expansion its saying I do own it and has the message "Download to use" under the title, so I'm assuming its ok. Obviously I can't download it as its not released yet, I was going to delete this thread, but I'm not sure if I can!
