Teoretycznie reinstalling Origin has nothing to do with your game folder and yours saves.
Are you using OneDrive? If yes there is always the possibility that the computer arbitrarily will move your game folder to OneDrive if you are using it. Then when you turn on the game it will create the new game folder and you will not find your old saves and library. Worse - OneDrive most often will hide this moved folder and you will not be able to find it.
If you use OneDrive you must block the possibility of moving the game folder there, in OneDrive options because the situation may repeat every time when the game is updated
There is a possibility also that you still have the old game folder and folder "saves" inside it, but the game is not seeing old files in it for some reason. So check in your saves folder if you have old files in it.
I don't work for EA No I don't use one drive, but I checked and my saves are still in the saves folder so why are they not showing up

Save the new game option "save as ..." then go to the Game Menu, Press the load game button and check what saves you can see. No none of them showed up

Step 1. Rename The Sims4 folder to "The Sims4 old"
Step 2. Fix the game in Origin
Origin/Library - right-click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
Step 3. Turn on the game - a new game folder will be created and you will have two - one old, one new
Step 4. Delete in the new game folder following folders:
"saves" and Tray.
Step 5. Go to "The Sims 4 old" folder and copy - your old "saves " folder.
Step. 6. Paste this folder in a newly created game folder.
Step 7. Do the same with Tray folder and TrayDeleteItems file
Turn on the game and check if you still have this problem. - ok this worked but I have one last question do I delete “ the sims4 old” file

Hi! Idk if you’ll see this but I had this same exact problem yesterday. But, I messed up at step 4. I accidentally deleted The Sims 4 folder and not The Sims 4 old folder. Now, when I recovered the file, everything in it has disappeared. All my saves, my Tray, mods, and CC. But my computer hasn’t emptied the space in the hard drive. So they must still be in my computer? But where??
@zl3n6on0p1h3 Oh no! :-( Have you checked your recycle bin??
I have checked my recycling bin. And there’s nothing in there. I am so stumped
