How do I change the location of my Mods folder?

I installed the sims 4 on my D drive where there is available space (This PC/New Volume(D:)/Program Files(x86)/Origin Games/Sims 4) but when I started the game it created a new Electronic Arts folder ...

I have the same problem but i am using a pc. How can i move these folders without it just being a copy in the external hard drive.
