MelodyraeV746 The initialization error is typically antivirus-related. So please set an exception in yours for EADesktop.exe. Set exceptions for TS4_x64, TS4_DX9_x64, and TS4_Launcher_x64 as well, or the entire Bin folder they're in.
If you've installed Sims 4 through Steam, you need to repair through Steam. The option is called "Verify integrity of the game files" and is under Properties > Local files or similar.
