Depends on the speed of your internet. Try pausing and resuming the download and see if the speed picks up a bit.
I would suggest leaving your computer on at night and just letting it sit and download.
It should take you around 1-2 hours to download but it depends on your internet connection, if it's taking you long don't worry, when I reinstalled Sims 4 around a year ago it took me 2 days due to horrible internet.

Thanks I tried that, but it just seems to go really slow.
@xSakura65x I have tried putting it next to the internet rota and my gosh is it slow.
It's at 35% after about a whole day and I have deleted unwanted files on my laptop incase its GB space.
