@robofoxartist When you say you "open in and out of the game," do you mean you're quitting the game and launching it again, or something else?
Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@puzzlezaddict Hi, I've tried all your suggestions so far to no avail. I thought it was one particular save, but after playing a new one it happened again. In Fullscreen it shows the white screen and then in Windowed it happens when my laptop goes into sleep or hibernation. When I reopen it, there isn't a white screen, but the game is locked up - same as white screen, but just visible.
I've attached my info. Any help would be appreciated!

@hypno-fr0g It's not a good idea to put a computer to sleep, whether formally or by closing a laptop lid, while it's running a graphically-demanding application. By "not a good idea" I mean both that you can run into problems like this and that even if you don't, performance may be significantly affected. So if you want to put your laptop to sleep, quit Sims 4 first. If startup times are too long for your taste, try suppressing the mods and cc pop-up at the Main Menu—this decreases load times by a significant margin.
For the issue in fullscreen mode, try using windowed fullscreen instead.
If that doesn't help, try setting the system and user DPI scalings to 96 (100%). Even if you don't want to use your computer like this overall, it's a useful test.
