I can’t open the sims anymore?

Currently going through the same issue rn TvT

Try to uninstall the game and delete the sims folder. Then install the game back and load it up and see if it works.

I’ve done that so many times, it still doesn’t work ;;

LocalCatStealer​  Have you specifically removed the Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts?  If not, please do so now.  You don't need to delete it, just move it elsewhere, or rename it.  Doing so will remove, but not delete, your saves and other user data.

If that doesn't or didn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

LocalCatStealer​  A dxdiag is a system report.  It lists hardware, some peripherals, system drivers, that sort of thing.  It also lists the ten most recent Windows errors, which includes application crashes.  In your case, these errors are saying Sims 4 crashed due to an issue with the Intel graphics driver.

However, the game shouldn't be using this driver or the integrated graphics chip.  Have you told it to do so?  One place you could have would be the Nvidia Control Panel; the other would be under Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics settings.  In both cases, please check the setting for TS4_x64, and if it's set to use integrated graphics or the power-saving option, respectively, switch it back to the Nvidia option.

Please also only play while your laptop is plugged in.  Running the game on battery can cause the system to default to the iGPU even with the other settings favoring the Nvidia chip.

I changed the graphics setting from the default (let windows decide) to the Nvidia option, however after launching the game again it still crashed...

LocalCatStealer​  Please check the Nvidia Control Panel too—make sure it's set to run TS4_x64 with the Nvidia graphics processor.

If that doesn't help, please look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor.  Click Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day.  Today is on the right.

Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent attempt to open Sims 4.  If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here.  If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.

I made sure to set the sims with the Nvidia graphics in the Nvidia control panel but still nothing... sooo heres the reliability monitor report!
